5 September 1958 Aeroflot  Soviet Union Il-14P CCCP-L2048 (c/n 705101) Jõhvi 1 of 17 Aeroflot Flight 365 was hijacked by a passenger 30 minutes after takeoff. During the ordeal, lit cigarettes started a fire on board. The aircraft landed in flames at the airport; the hijacker died when the aircraft burned out.
