Lionel Girard Wilson (born Lionel Lazarus Salzer; March 22, 1924 - April 30, 2003) was an American voice actor.
Career
Lionel started acting in 1949 on the series The Aldrich Family as George Bigalow. Then, in 1957, he arrived at Terrytoons, voicing all the characters for Tom Terrific, then in 1963 appeared on the TV series The Hector Heathcote Show as Sidney the Elephant and Stanley the Lion. From 1966 to 1971 Wilson played Billy Bear on several animated shorts. In 1999, at the age of 75, Wilson landed the role of Eustace Bagge on the Cartoon Network animated series Courage the Cowardly Dog. After 33 episodes as Eustace, Wilson retired because of illness and was replaced by Arthur Anderson.
Death
Wilson died of pneumonia on April 30, 2003, at the age of 79.[1]
