The Machining and Assembly Group focuses primarily on precision machining and assembly of light, commercial, off-highway, and industrial vehicle engine, transmission, and driveline components as well as solutions for the agricultural and energy markets. The Linamar Forging Group specializes in high volume and high speed hot forging processes, creating gear products to supplement their continuously growing core powertrain business. The Linamar Skyjack Group is noted for its innovative, high quality mobile industrial equipment, notably its class-leading aerial work platforms and telehandlers.

McLaren Performance Technologies

McLaren Performance Technologies is the engineering division of Linamar Corporation. McLaren Performance Technologies can provide:

The McLaren Story

McLaren Engine was created in 1969 when the company founder Bruce McLaren established a North American base to support its initiatives in the Can-Am and Indy racing series. McLaren had great success over the course of the next several years after which time, McLaren racing efforts were re-concentrated in Europe with a focus on F1. Today, the two McLaren entities co-exist in name only. McLaren Performance Technologies, as it is known today, has remained in the Detroit area.

Skyjack

Aerial work platform

Skyjack Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Linamar Corporation. Skyjack is in the industrial marketplace, providing a line of original equipment aerial work platforms.

Capabilities

Skyjack produces a line of self-propelled indoor and rough-terrain scissor lifts. Skyjack’s scissor model lineup features elevated work heights ranging from 18 up to 56 ft, and capacities of up to 2,000 lbs. Skyjack’s expanding telescopic and articulating boom product lineup currently consists of models with work heights ranging from 46 to 66 ft.
Skyjack also produces a line of telescopic material handlers with its VR and Zoom Boom product lines. Its VR telehandlers feature lifting heights ranging from 42 up to 56 ft, and capacities up to 10,000 lbs, while its Zoom Boom telehandlers feature lifting heights ranging from 32 up to 56 ft, and capacities up to 20,000 lbs.
