Lilly Brogi is an Italian artist and poet born in Livorno, Italy in 1942. She is living and working in Florence, Italy.

Bibliography

Lilly Brogi learned from important writers such as Leghorn, Giorgio Fontanelli, and Furio Allori. She began her literary journey with the publication of the unusual twentieth century book that recalls her life, her loves, and her dear Tuscan cities. Her pictorial journey began when she learned from the masters, Pilade Giorgetti, Carlo Guarnieri, and Voltolino Fontani. She moved to Florence in 1990 to integrate with the poets of the “Camerata dei poeti”, directed by Marcello Fabbri,vice president Anna Balsamo, vice president Duccia Camiciotti, and the adviser Giancarlo Bianchi. She became a part of various associations such as the: "Giovanni March" in 1999 in Livorno, A.N.L.A Toscana in 2002, the “Antica Compagnia del Paiolo” in 2003, and the “Centro Culturale Fuligno” of Florence in 2003. Additionally, she founded the cultural association “La Pergola Florence Arte” in 1999. In 2007, she promoted the International Literary Prize "Lilly Brogi La Pergola Arte" of Florence which is now at the seventh edition.

Literature

In 1999, she began her career within the literary world with a book dedicated to the prosaic and poetic reflection. Published in 2005, the book of short stories was called, "Toscana ... Cave Canem fra leggenda e realtà" with Bastogi Editrice italiana. In 2007, she published a collection of poems, "Un soffio di vita." In 2009, she published another poetry collection called, "Entro l'arco del mio giorno" with works owned by Bastogi Editrice italiana. In 2010, she published yet another poetry collection, "Amoreggiandone" which was a work published by Editions Youcanprint. Later, she published "Agresti Flowers for the Republic" stories, in 2012 by Youcanprint Editions. In 2010, she organized the poetic encounter with Duccia Camiciotti and Fausto Sbaffoni "From Florence to the Stars" at the "Consiglio regionale della Toscana" Palazzo Panciatichi Via Cavour Florence. In 2011, she promoted the Anthology "One Hundred Voices To The Sky" published by Editions Youcanprint and presented at the "Consiglio regionale della Toscana" with a preface by Enrico Nistri. In 2012, she promoted and presented the poet Giorgina Busca Gernetti at the Bar "Le Giubbe Rosse” in Florence along with Anna Maria Giglio, Enrico Nistri and Giancarlo Bianchi.

Awards

In 2001, she received second prize in the contest "La Diligence." In 2003, in Pistoia, she won the Cultural Award, A.N.L.A Tuscany, for the dissemination of literature and poetry in the field of beauty and great intellect. In 2008 the book, "A Breath of Life" received first prize in the Premio Val di Magra Roberto Micheloni.[1] In 2012, she received the Award Fiorino d'Oro for unpublished poetry in XXX Prize Fiorino d'oro in Florence organized by the Cultural Centre Europe-Florence, "Mario Conti."
