Liam Maxwell is the United Kingdom's first and current Chief Technology Officer (CTO). He took the role of CTO in December 2012, and has worked as part of the government's IT team since June 2011, where he was an IT advisor. In 2014, he committed to staying in the role of CTO until at least 2018.[2]
