Lewis Henry Douglass
Lewis Henry Douglass (1840–1908) fought for one of the first official African American units in the United States during the Civil War, the famed 54th Massachusetts Infantry Regiment. He took part in the Second Battle of Fort Wagner on July 18, 1863.[1] He was the oldest son of Frederick Douglass.
