Leon Grochowski

Leon Grochowski (1886-1969) was a bishop of the Polish National Catholic Church. He was born near Łomża, Poland, and emigrated to the United States in 1905. He was elected bishop on July 15, 1924, and was consecrated to the episcopate on August 17, 1924. Grochowski served as bishop of the Western Diocese of the Polish National Catholic Church, and as the third diocesan bishop of the Central Diocese of the Polish National Catholic Church. He became Prime Bishop of the PNCC on the death of Franciszek Hodur in 1953. He died in Warsaw on July 17, 1969.
