Lemuel Jeanpierre (born May 19, 1987) is an American football center who is currently a member of the Seattle Seahawks. He was signed by the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 2011. He played college football at South Carolina.

Biography

Jeanpierre is of Haitian descent, whose grandfather who had migrated to Louisiana.[1]

Professional career

Jeanpierre was signed by the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent following the end of the NFL lockout in 2011.[2] Jeanpierre was originally released from the Seahawks before the 2014 season began then was resigned in November after an injury to the starting center, Max Unger[3] Jeanpierre became a free agent on August 31, 2015 after the Seahawks terminated his contract. Jeanpierre was re-signed by Seattle during week 7 of the 2015 season after Patrick Lewis sustained an injury[4]
