The Legislative Districts of Makati City, namely the first and second districts, are the representations of the City of Makati in the Philippine House of Representatives. From 1907 until 1972, it was represented as part of the first district of Rizal, and was part of the representation of the Region IV in the Interim Batasang Pambansa from 1978 to 1984. Makati was granted its own representation in the Regular Batasang Pambansa from 1984 to 1986, as well as in the restored House of Representatives starting 1987. It was divided into two districts after its city charter (Republic Act No. 7854)) was approved on January 2, 1995 and ratified on February 4, 1995, and first elected their separate representatives in 1998.
