Synopsis

The Legend of Zu follows the students of Shu San Sect from generation to generation as they fight for a rare gem that can boost their powers and become the unbeatable.1 part of the 81 pieces fell out 24 years ago when Liu Pao and his wife tried to escape and formed into the body of Ding Da Li who is a carpenter of a village which was burned down by Demon Sect, he tried to find his deceased wife, Xiao Yu. But a woman had the same face as his wife is Yu Wu Xin. She is Liu Pao's daughter and is given a task to turn Da Li into evil. The evil sect used flies to poison the people to lure out Mt Shu disciplines so Yu Wu Xin can enter Mt Shu easily. (Ep 1-10)

Although Ding Da Li was fooled by Yu Wu Xin several times, he still trust her as his memory portray her as his deceased wife. Qing Yun rescues Ding when his heart's poison is acting up because of Yu Wu Xin. Yu was stopped by a mysterious woman who cured the effects of the Emotionless Pills (Liu Pao forced her to swallow) and gave her a bottle of antidotes for further help as the woman hoped her daughter( Yu Wu Xin ) will not suffer that kind of relationship she had. She is Su Yin, also help in curing the fly poison. Whenever her father force her to eat the pills, Yu quickly ate the antidotes and soon develop feelings for Ding Da Li. Once again, she tricked him into touching the stone snake tongue (antidote to the evil sect's flies poison) to let the stone snake tongue forces the gem out of Ding. Su Yin manages to prevent the gem from coming out of his body. But in the process, she and Yu Wu Xin was attacked by Liu Pao's "woman" Tu Mei and both fell off the cliff. Because of the incident everyone on Mt Shu forbids him to see Yu. She managed to get in to see Ding Ying. They tried to stop her but her blood and determination summons Su Yin's sword ( which is stuck with the other holy swords on the door to prevent the XiYu people from escaping including Tu Mei's brother, Tu Ba )and she killed them for blocking her way, Ding arrived at the scene and saw the bloody mess and broke up with her after injuring her and knowing the truth she is Liu Pao's daughter from Dan Cheng Zi(Mt Shu's sect eldest discipline), Wu Du rescued her. The Sect leader of Mt Shu(Zhuge Yuwo) sealed Ding in a cell and let him practise how to control the evilness in the gem in his heart. There is a spy in Mt Shu that has been giving the Demon Sect news (ep 11-20)

Tu Mei has been caught as the spy was tricked to sent inaccurate information. Two of Mt Shu female disciplines have been kidnapped by a gang of horse mounted bandits, the captain that kidnaps them, needs their help to free his wife and the other 97 women from his boss's secret hideout. Ding killed the boss in the end. Liu Pao went to Mt Shu to take the letters and freed the Tu Mei on his way. Yu WuXin left her home and took the sword but is tailed by Wu Du. Ding ying and the others head to find some martial arts manual in a sect named Cang Jing Ge heavily guarded by incredible sword formations. The owner is Qing Yun's biological mother and found out her deceased father is the member of evil Sect. Her mother forced her to marry someone but she refused as she fell in love with Ding. They went to Wu Dang Sect to borrow their precious sword but there's an evil monk who controlled Mt Wu Dang sect leader and all Wu Dang disciplines to attack Zhang Xian Bing,Qing Yun and Ding Ying. Dan Cheng Zi was captured. The real Wu Dang leader is locked up and rescued by Yu and 五毒 when he gave them solution to save Yu when she sucked out the evil monk's poison from Wu Du ,using the blue holy(Nan ming li huo jian) sword. Ding Ying removed the tattoo on Dan Cheng Zi's neck and chased it but trapped in the formation set by the evil monk. With the help of Yu Wu Xin and Qing Yun, Ding Yin and Dan, they are freed from the formation set along by Tu Mei and the evil monk commit suicide. Ding Ying forgived Yu but loudly declares his relationship with Qing Yun. ( ep 21-30 )

Qing Yun knew the fact that Ding Yin have yet to forget Yu Wu Xin because of a little test by 五毒. She left, crying and unknowingly found the sword spirit in the form of a little girl and saved it from getting smased by a falling rock during their fight, therefore she was chosen as the sword owner of the Qing Suo sword. Yu Wun Xin collapsed and was saved again by Su Yin. After healing Yu and sent her away, she was attacked. Her sect senior(Mt Shu Leader) saved both her and Liu Pao from the 'Tian Zun/ Tu Ba'. The truth of Jiu Du's betrayal was revealed to (Tu Mei).Yu was discovered for followed the 5 Mt Shu disciples and all was caught by Mt Qing Chun sect and had to accompany them for 3 days to get the (Shen mu jian). Everyone in the sect are female not one male in the sect. The Qing Chun Sect leader wants to mix up all 6 of their guests' feelings. Mt Shu's sect leader help to treat Su Yin's injuries. Liu Pao revealed he had bonded his spirit with her in his body to support her with his (Zheng Qi)and when he's hurt, only then Su Yin can come out. But their bond have been separated by Tu Ba. The sword they wanted to find is broken and Ding Yin, Qing Yun and Yu Wu Xin head into the cave but was attacked by hidden poison nails. There is only an antidote and Ding Yin gave to Qing Yun as for Yu Wu Xin, he wanted to die with her until the Mt Qing Chun leader's daughter whom was silently observing them, gave the antidotes.

They tried to fix the sword but it broke again. Zi Yin mocked him of cowardly and got slapped by Dan Cheng Zi Mt Qing Chun gave Zhang Xian Bing medicine if mixed with his blood and put on Zi Yin, she will love him for half a day. He used it. Ding Yin and the others went to visit the friend of the one whom makes the sword. To make the sword needed strength and the chess which is the ingredient to fix the sword. This time is successful. Meanwhile, Zi Yin's spell wore off and realized she was hallucinating, spending the night with Zhang not Dan and stabbed him with her sword and ran to wash his blood off her hands in the river. After fixing the sword Mt Qing Chun sect leader's husband's spirit was revived and returned to his body. Everyone wanted to leave but realized both Zi Yin and Zhang are missing, they later found Zi Yin and her sword covered with blood(which she never wash) and Zhang's torn body within the tigers' territory and Mt Qing Chun leader figured everything out and tell Yu and Ding and apologised as she was living in hatred. Ding got very angry at Zi Yin, everyone protect Zi Yin and he ran off, but got caught by Tu Ba. Liu Pao is dying, Ding Yin passed out and Mt Shu sect leader have Tu Bain his hands. Tu Mei came and chosen to retreat if he let go off her brother. Su Yin came and rescued Liu Pao by bonding his life with Ding Yin's together and return back to Liu Pao's body. Liu Pao killed Jiu Du as he say there won't be a second time of betrayal. Liu Pao revealed that the spy in Mt Shu is GongSong Wuwo, he hated Zhuge Yuwo as he is always the second and under Mt Shu Leader. Wu Gui sent message to Liu Pao that Mt Shu Leader let Yu Wu Xin take care of Ding Yin. As night falls, Yu Wu Xin was tricked by Wu Gui and was forced to return home while Liu Pao found Ding Yin's location but was defeated by (Shen Mu Jian). Next and last sword they have to find is Zi Ying Sword which was last seen a long time(1000 yrs). Yu Wu Xin escaped from Wu Gui and discovered a secret room which held her father's memories with her mother and she realized that her mother is the one whom calls herself a physian. They met the physian whom turned out to be Tu Mei after Zi Yin got the Zi Ying sword. But is You Ming (幽冥)Sword and was summoned back to Tu Mei's hands, the real Zi Ying sword spirit was recovered and helped them as it was fully recovered from Zhang's medicine that was given to Zi Yin before he died, he reverts into his sword form saying its the 2nd time people mistook him to be the evil sword because of its appearance and promises to exchange for the medicine and will protect Zi Yin for life.They took the Yo Ming sword heading back to Mt Shu but its evil aura cause Sect brother to attack Ding Yin with the sword that also cause damage to Liu Pao too, Yu Wu Xin went to aid Ding Yin but she needed the Xue Ying Blade which is at Ying Fen Gu (her home).

Yu manages to get him to Yin Fen Gu but is discovered by wu gui. Other than her own father, he has the ability to summon the Xue Ying sword. But on one condition, she have to marry him as he don't want once Ding Yin revives and snatch her from him again. Meanwhile, Tu Mei questioned Liu Pao about Su Yin and why he used her, the question became a fight and she willingly stay and his blade pierced through her umbrella into her body and died in his hands. Ding slowly recovering, Wu Du kept pressuring Yu and settled that tomorrow night they will marry after she sent Ding away, but after sending Ding, Wu Du revealed that they should escaped after offending and disobeying Liu Pao's command. But too late, just after he said that, Liu Pao stopped them and chained Wu Du to prison and did not punish Yu. The team( Zi Yin, Qing Yun and Dan Cheng Zi) returned to Mt Shu and reported that Ding Yin is missing, life in danger and Zhang Xian Bing dead to the tigers which got Zhang's teacher angry at that Zhang is capable to deal with tigers as his whole body is packed with drugs and medicines and the pouch can instantly revive any dying people. Gongsun WuWo say that the sect leader is training in private to re-seal the seal to prevent any more Xi Yu people from escaping and causing havoc to people. He ordered his disciples to search the mountain at all costs, dead or alive. He plotted to let both Gongsun YuWo and Liu Pao to fight until both exhausted and finish both off and be Mt Shu's sect leader. When practising with Qing Yun, Zi Yin suddenly feel unwell and warns Qing Yun not to tell anyone about her condition but Qing Yun pull her along to see Bai Cao( Zhang's teacher) and he knows that Zi Yin killed him but say that Zhang probably deserve it for his selfish ambitions. Ding came back to Mt Shu and everyone welcomed him with open hands. Yu wanted to sent note to Ding by pigeon but it was shot down by her father. Liu Pao went to visit Wu Du whom was in jail and offered him if he joins in the upcoming war between Ying Fen Gu and Mt Shu, he will agreed let Yu marry him or dies. Wu Du immediately agreeds upon hearing the betroth. Ding and Qing Yun visit Miao Yiand ask him about Ding Yin's condition concerning about the gem, there is both good and bad news, his skills level up so much if he can control his power, he will be the most powerful man but if he cannot, it will consume him. Both parties are preparing for the war, Ding Yin and Dan Cheng Zi suspects that Gongsun WuWo is the spy but he fools them into thinking too much. Gongsun WuWo put Ding in a jail so during the war, he will be safe and no one can free him but Dan found the solution and freed him and they broke through the defences to see the Sect Leader and figured out that he knew nothing of the outside world from Gongsun WuWo and they helped him to seal the final crack of the seal. Wu Gui attacks Miao Yi, poisoned him and releasing half of the trapped souls. Liu Pao vs Mt Shu sect leader. Ding Yin went to rescue Miao Yi and transferred his evil energy through Miao Yi to reseal the soul-trapping seal. When Qing Yun and Zi Yin are fighting, Zi Yin got hurt because her sword failed her,her baby's nei dan is transferred to her pet causing it to evolves and become a flying lion defeats the bad guys and flew away, she was sent for medical help and Bai Cao reliases that she is pregnant. Miao Yi dies slowly from being too wounded and Ding Yin was furious and with the Xue Ying blade, chased after Liu Pao whom was stabbed in the back by Gongsun WuWo. Wu Gui helped Liu Pao to escape by using Yu Wu Xin's hologram and chained Ding Yin back to Ying Fen Gu. Liu Pao revealed the murder of the village is done by Ding Yin, he only helped to cover it up as he used him as a test subject for 17 yrs as Liu Xing Zhi Zhi's body can merge with any harmful weapons. And his life as a woodcutter is created by Liu Pao, everyone at the village is from Ying Fen Gu. His name is not _______ .His childhood friend is forced down the Emotionless Pill and acts as his wife and had to report to her father. The Xue Ying Dao helped him to regain all his lost memories, he became mad and killed both Liu Pao and Su Yin, whom was residing in his body. When Liu Pao died, Ding should died, but was revived by the gem and filled with hatred that his life is a scam. He started to plot to let Mt Shu suffer with him as they used him cause of the gem. Zhuge Wuwo's limbs are broken by Ding and Dan Cheng Zi and they hid him in a cell, not wanting to affect Mt Shu's reputation of having a traitor. Everyone wanted Dan to marry Zi Ying as they assumed that's his child. Dan was furious and at night wanted to drink with Ding, as he's drunk, Ding took his pendant. Yu Wu Xin buried her parents in ice. Zi Ying told Zhuge Yuwo that Dan might not marry her of the child isn't his, he let Dan be the new Mt Shu's Sect leader and speak to him that he had to marry to Zi Ying and passes away in private. Ding Yin was appointed as a Zhang Lao, helped Gongsun WuWo get back his limbs by doing what Liu Pao had done to his hand by practising Xue Ying Shen Gong in private. Qing Yun reports that Ding also teach the rest the evil skills, but apologises to him by cooking up a meal with added pill but was discovered. After her parents died, Yu released her henchman from her father's curse but Liu Pao had destroyed all their families and they treated Ying fen Gu as their new home.
