Legend of Lu Zhen(Chinese:陆贞传奇) or Female Prime Minister is a 2013 Chinese historical romantic comedy television series. The television series was directed by Li Huizhu, Zheng Wei'en and Liang Guoguan and produced by Yu Zheng and Mu Xiaohui, and starring Zanilia Zhao, Chen Xiao, Maggie Cheung Ho-yee, Leanne Liu, Gui Gui, Jin Qiaoqiao and Yang Rong.[1][2][3] It was first broadcast on 5 May 2013 in China and subsequently broadcast in other Asian countries such as South Korea and Japan.
Plot
It tells the story of a Chinese lady-in-waiting in the palace of the Chinese dynasty Northern Qi. Lu Zhen is the reliable elder daughter of the Lu family, shouldering the family business. However, her father dies from poisoning of her step-mother and is forced to marry off by her father's second wife in a scheme to seize all the assets. Lu Zhen flees and is saved by Prince Gao Zhan, who will become the love of her life. Gao Zhan faces the same family problems, when his father dies and Empress Lou steals his throne and gives it to his elder brother Prince Gao Yan. Through Gao Zhan's connection, Lu Zhen is able to enter the palace and become a maid the twists and turns she encounters are many . She proves her self to all the people she deals but is still begrudge her intelligence, she however overcomes all obstacles including framings, except one she can not officially become the empress after the empress dowager Lou succeeded in killing her own son and son-in-law(Xiao GuiFei). To keep her close, Gao Zhan makes her the first female prime minister of China. Unofficially they are married in a ceremony of friends. She is worthy of her position and becomes well known and loved.
