Lawrence Pearce
Lawrence Pearce (born 15 June 1980) is a feature film writer and director based in London, England.
He studied at the Chelsea College of Art and Design before completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Photomedia, combining photography and film making.
Following on from a successful spell as Managing Director at Wideboys Film and Television (a small post-production facility), Pearce directed his first feature film, the 2006 horror movie Night Junkies, starring Giles Alderson, Katia Winter, Rene Zagger, Sasha Jackson and Jonathan Coyne.
Night Junkies was released by American distributors Allumination FilmWorks in 2007. In 2008 Content International sold the rights to various European territories including to Zone Horror on Sky television for the UK.
In 2008, Pearce created the story for, and directed, the movie Mixed Up, starring Billy Murray, Adele Silva, Lee Otway, Staten Elliot, Zara Dawson, Sylvester McCoy, Katia Winter, Terry Stone and Abi Titmuss.
Pearce has also written Cain's Awakening an action/thriller set in Chinatown.
Outside of filmmaking, Pearce has also written a graphic novel of Cain's Awakening working with Brodie's Law and 2000AD artist David Bircham, due for release in 2009. He is also a film journalist, having written feature articles for Showreel Magazine and Little White Lies.
