Laurence King Publishing
Laurence King Publishing is a London-based British publisher of books on the creative arts.
The company was founded in 1991 by Laurence King and has been independently owned and run since that date.[1] The company currently employs around 45 staff in its offices in Islington, London, as well as having two employees in San Francisco. Robin Hyman was chairman of the company from 1991 to 2004. Pentagram partner, Angus Hyland is creative director of the company.
Publications
Laurence King Publishing creates books for students, professionals and the general consumer on advertising, architecture, art, fashion and textiles, film and animation, graphic design, interior design, photography and product design, as well as gift and stationery products and books for children.
It has published a number of best-selling titles, including a monograph on the influential American designer Saul Bass; a book by leading illustrator Marion Deuchars, Let’s Make Some Great Art; and the classic art history text, A World History of Art by Hugh Honour and John Fleming.
Laurence King Publishing books are distributed by Chronicle Books in North America and by Thames and Hudson for the rest of the world.
