Larva is a computer-animated comedy television series made by Tuba Entertainment in Seoul, South Korea. This cartoon shows two larvae as its main characters.
Characters
Main
- Yellow – is a dimwitted and happy-go-lucky yellow colored larva with an antenna. Yellow is always abused by Red , but that never endangers their friendship. Although usually he obeys Red, he loses his mind in front of food.
- Red ' – a mean-spirited and greedy red colored Larva. His specialty is shouting and kicking like Bruce Lee. He is always showing off and abusing Yellow, often ending up hurting herself
.[1]
Recurring
- Violet – An over sized ghost slug. He is sometimes shown with his lower half buried in ground. When he is threatened, he exposes his whole body and roars.
- Brown – A cloying dung beetle that gathers poop. To him, poop is either his food or treasure. He hates someone touching his prized poop. He has a long strand of hair on his right cheek.
- Black – a horned atlas that has great strength and usually punching a cocoon (which he uses as punching bag). He's aggressive and will beat whoever he thinks messes with him. In "Hello, Black" he turns out to be a slug wearing beetle armor.
- Rainbow – a snail with a red and green shell. When in his shell, he's slow in his action, but under that he has a muscular human-like body and can function like humans do.
- Pink – a pink larva with two antenna. She is the only female character. She loves Yellow but Red loves her. She hides huge power behind her cute, beautiful face.
Minor
- Blue – housefly has numerous smells. Nobody can get close because of his repugnant smell. He feels glum and lonely because nobody can approach him.
- Navy – in "One Wild and Rough World" part 1, this deep-sea fish appears when sewerage is sunk. Firstly, it appeared as gold fish, the result when he was dying, Red and Yellow threw he into a sardine can full of warm water, he changed as deep-sea fish which is often seen whenever the sewer floods. He has a good appetite enough to eat up Red and Yellow.
- Green – An carnivorous plant which eats up anything on the ground. In season 1, he is an enemy to all insects because he tries to swallow the other insects when he encounters them. But he is weaker than Violet. He appears to have a menacingly terrible set of teeth.
- Frog – a frog which often appears in the sewer, is sensitive and tries to monopolise all power by eating the insects and larva. He is several times bigger than other normal frogs. He escaped from sewer and went into the house where Red and Yellow lived in a season 2 episode. In season 3 he lives in sewers again.
- Bee – a Honey bee which collects honey. He stings when someone touches his honey that he collected or makes him angry.
- Maroon – Dachshund that appears in season 2. He attacks when he watches moving things. He likes to smell and he bears his teeth when he likes. He tends to bury his valuable bones in the ground and is quite temperamental. He's a stereotypical pet dog who wears a blue and yellow sweater. In "Whistle Fart" he's shown if he hears the wrong whistling, he turns into a werewolf.
- Prussian – a blue parrot which always monitors from inside a cage. He appears in season 2. He observes other friends and gives a sardonic laugh before attacking. Other than Prism, he is also a predator to the larvae. In "Nanta" he's shown he used to live in the amazon forest as a hatchling.
- Prism – a chameleon which appears intermittently in various areas of season 2, such as the living room, bathroom, rooftop, and even bedroom; he suddenly appears and attacks Red and Yellow without reason.[1]
- Ephemera - A mayfly who appears in the titular episode. Red has a crush on them, but they have a very short lifespan.
- Grey - a rat that appears in season 3. He is an enemy to all larva in this season.
- Ivory - a stick insect that Yellow befriends.
- The Silvers - twin pigeons who wear a banana and watermelon peel to cover their bald patches. They are known as Yah-Silver and Uhh-Silver due to the sounds they make.
- There are humans who rarely appear and their faces are always off-screen (except a plane passenger in "One Wild and Rough World"). The recurring ones are an old woman and a fat guy who live in the house from season 2.
- Other birds have been shown regularly, including pigeons.
