The Landmark Medical Center is a private, not-for-profit hospital at 115 Cass Avenue in Woonsocket, Rhode Island and with another unit, Fogarty Hospital, on 146A in North Smithfield, Rhode Island.
In 1988 the hospital was created as a merger between Woonsocket Hospital and Fogarty Hospital of North Smithfield. The merged hospitals had been providing healthcare for nearly 130 years. Landmark Medical Center provides "emergency, diagnostic, medical, surgical, cancer, cardiac, pain management, and obstetric care."[1] The hospital also provides inpatient psychiatric care. As of 2010 the hospital is under negotiations to be sold.[2]
