Lamar "Buddy" Allen (born 25 November, 1914, Pine Bluff, Arkansas - died 16 May, 1989, Los Angeles, California) [1] was an American football coach in the United States.
Coaching career
Allen was the head college football coach for the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions located in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He held that position for 4 seasons, from 1946 until 1949.[2] His coaching record at Arkansas-Pine Bluff was 19 wins, 18 losses and 5 ties. As of the conclusion of the 2013 season, this ranks him #5 at Arkansas-Pine Bluff in total wins and #6 at the school in winning percentage (.512).[3]
