Lajwanti is an Indian television drama show, which premiered on 28th September 2015. It airs on Zee TV from Monday through Friday, 10.30 PM. The story is loosely based on Rajinder Singh Bedi's book bearing the same title and is set during Partition of India [1][2] The show was produced by Trilogy Media.[3] The show is about the relationship between Sundarlal Bharadwaj, and Lajwanti, (Lajo). They face many perils throughout the course of their relationship. The series ended on the 5th of February, 2016, where Sundar, who had previously lost his memory and wandered away, reunites with Lajo, and is stopped from marrying Gunwanti. Lajo and Sundar proceed to get married again, jubilantly ending the show.
