LAI – Línea Aérea IAACA was an airline based in Barinas, Venezuela. A regional airline that served nine destinations.

History

The airline was founded in 1995. He trained as a crop spraying company that have evolved to become the largest airborne operation of taxis in Venezuela. As a result of deregulation in Venezuela, IAACA became a regular airliner in 1995.

LAI (IAACA airline) is a defunct airline founded in 1992 in Barinas, Venezuela. Its operations are based mainly on regional routes ATR 72 and ATR 42. It operates 6 aircraft in its fleet:[1]

Disappearance of the airline

The airline ceased operations in October 2006 because it gave currency to fly. LAI operating to various destinations such as: Caracas, Barinas, Maturin, Porlamar, Cumana, Carúpano, Acarigua, Valera, Guanare, Barcelona and Mérida.

A possible return?

Today after the cessation of operations we want to make a national airline with international label to achieve and reach number one among passenger airlines, so connecting the tourist destinations to and from Venezuela, the Caribbean, Central and South America with its modern fleet and high-tech equipment.
