L'Amadigi
This article is about the epic poem by Bernardo Tasso. For the opera by Handel, see Amadigi di Gaula.
L'Amadigi is an epic poem written in Italian by Bernardo Tasso and first published in 1560. It was inspired by the Amadis de Gaula of Garci Rodríguez de Montalvo.[1][2]
This poem has inspired another one: Floridante (sometimes misspelt as Florindante), that remained incomplete because of the death of the author. Anyway, the son of Bernardo, Torquato, have completed it and published in 1587.[3]
