Květa Pacovská (born 28 July 1928) is Czech artist and illustrator. She received the international Hans Christian Andersen Medal in 1992 for her "lasting contribution to children's literature".[1][2]
Pacovská was born in Prague and studied at its School of Applied Arts, where she mainly worked in graphic art, arts, conceptual art and artist book fields.
The biennial Hans Christian Andersen Award conferred by the International Board on Books for Young People is the highest recognition available to a writer or illustrator of children's books. Pacovská received the illustration award in 1992.[1][2]
