Kurt Geiger is a British footwear retailer that operates a combination of its own stores and concessions within department stores in a number of countries. It has signed a long-term deal with the shoewear manufacturer Manolo Blahnik to operate boutiques for that company.[2][3] It also operates its own online shoe store.
In addition to selling most of the major designer shoe brands, it also sells a number of own brand designs.
The company is named after its Austrian founder,[4] who opened its first shop in London's Bond Street in 1963.[4][5][6] After a management buyout in 2008,[7] it was sold by Graphite Capital to the U.S.-based brand management company The Jones Group in 2011.[6][8] In 2014, the Jones Group was acquired by Sycamore Partners, who spun off Kurt Geiger into its own company.[9]
