Kopanka Pierwsza [kɔˈpanka ˈpjɛrfʂa] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Gronowo Elbląskie, within Elbląg County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 6 kilometres (4 mi) north-west of Gronowo Elbląskie, 11 km (7 mi) west of Elbląg, and 91 km (57 mi) north-west of the regional capital Olsztyn.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (East Prussia).
