Koo Junhoe (Hangul: 구준회, born March 31, 1997 in South Korea) also known as Ju-ne, is a South Korean singer of the YG Entertainment group iKON, formerly known as Team B best known from the 2013 Mnet reality survival program show "Who Is Next: WIN."
Koo Junhoe also appeared in the 2014 Mnet reality survival program show "MIX & MATCH" with fellow iKON members B.I, Bobby, Kim Jinhwan, Kim Donghyuk, Song Yunhyeong and Jung Chanwoo before his official debut.
Career
Koo Junhoe was first introduced to the public through his predebut appearances as the 13-year-old Michael Jackson on the SBS variety show 'Star King' and on SBS's survival show 'KPOP STAR' in 2011.
Koo Junhoe joined YG Entertainment as a trainee in April 2012, where he joined the lineup as a member of Team B. Team B was first introduced to the public through 2013 Mnet's reality survival program show 'Who Is Next: WIN.' In this show, two teams known as Team A and Team B competed for the chance to debut as YG Entertainment's next boy group. Both teams competed in three official rounds, each consisting of a song arrangement, a dance, and an original song composition.[1] The winning team was determined through a public vote while the losing team was to be either disbanded or rearranged. Ultimately, Team B lost with Team A debuting under the name Winner.[2]
In 2014, YG Entertainment announced that the Team B members would be returning to compete in a second reality survival show, 'MIX & MATCH,' with the aim to determine the official seven members of YG Entertainment's new boy group iKON.[3] Koo Junhoe was one of the three Team B members that were not confirmed as official iKON members and competed against the other two original members as well as three new trainees—Jung Chanwoo, Yang Hongseok, and Jung Jinhyeong—for the remaining four positions in iKON.[4] Koo Junhoe was the first member revealed to have made the final lineup of iKON.[5]
As of 1 October 2015, Koo Junhoe officially debuted as an iKON member and has been involved in song production, notably taking part in composing the title track 'Rhythm Ta'[6] of iKON's debut album 'Welcome Back.'
