Komanija (pronounced [kɔmaˈniːja]) is a small settlement south of Dobrova in the Municipality of Dobrova–Polhov Gradec in the Upper Carniola region of Slovenia.[2] The core of the village lies in a sunny position on a broad terrace above a plain, and it extends up the slope of Gradišča Hill (530 m) to the west and down to Horjulščica Creek (a.k.a. Horjulka Creek, a tributary of the Gradaščica) to the east.[3] In the 19th century it was known as Komania in German.[4]
