Kinoguitan is a fifth class municipality in the province of Misamis Oriental, Philippines. According to the 2010 census, it has a population of 12,761 people.[3]

The town name Kinoguitan is spelled by the old folks especially during the early 1950s as Kinogitan. It should not be confused that Kinoguitan and Kinogitan are one municipality in the province of Misamis Oriental.
