King David High School or KDHS (founded as Maimonides High School) is a pluralistic Jewish community high school with comprehensive general and Judaic programs.
Facility
KDHS opened its doors for the 2005-06 school year in its new facility: a state-of-the-art school, both in terms of design and outfitting. In addition to classrooms it boasts two science labs, a home economics lab, a music and drama studio, a library, an art room and a computer lab.
A British Columbia Ministry of Education report recognized the teachers for their commitment to individual support and enrichment.[1] A school educational psychologist is available.
A Peer Tutor Program is available which allows senior students to use their academic strengths to assist other students.
Information technology
KDHS offers an information network giving students and staff access to over 60 workstations and a wireless network for laptop computers. This includes:
- A computer lab
- A Tablet Computer Programme for Teaching Staff
- Computers in every classroom
- KDHS e-mail addresses issued for all students and staff
- A comprehensive library with computers for research assignments and communication.
- Smart Board
