Kiamari
Kemari or Kiamari (Urdu: کیماڑی ) is a neighbourhood of Kiamari Town in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan.[1]
There are several ethnic groups in Kemari including Kutchi, Muhajirs, Sindhis, Punjabis, Kashmiris, Seraikis, Pakhtuns, Balochis, Memons, Bohras, Ismailis, etc. Over 99% of the population is Muslim. The population of Kiamari Town is estimated to be nearly one million.
The iron Napier Mole Bridge was built in 1840 connecting Karachi with Kemari, the landing place for all goods and passengers bound for city.[2]
