Khasynsky District (Russian: Хасы́нский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the eight in Magadan Oblast, Russia. It is located in the south of the oblast. The area of the district is 19,252 square kilometers (7,433 sq mi). Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Palatka.[2] Population: 8,141(2010 Census);[5] 10,465 (2002 Census);[8] 30,866(1989 Census).[9] The population of Palatka accounts for 52.1% of the district's total population.[5]
