Khalifa Islamiyah Mindanao (KIM) is an umbrella organization composing of Jemaah Islamiyah, the Abu Sayyaf, the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters, Justice for Islamic Movement and members of other armed Islamic groups.[1] According to the Philippine Institute for Peace, Violence and Terrorism Research, there were five founders of KIM; Zulkifli Abdhir, Amir M, Amir Abtol Rahman, Amir Kuptu and Amir Human Abdul Najid. The group reportedly adopted the flag of the Islamic State group.[2]

Armed Forces of the Philippines chief, Emmanuel Bautista confirmed the existence of the group in August 2013. KIM's existence were reported as early as 2011.[3]

Late November 2015, 8 members of Khalifa Islamiyah Mindanao, including an Indonesian, died in a raid in Sultan Kudarat. The safe-house was secured and the weapons,explosives and propaganda materials was confiscated.[4]
