Kevin McVey

Kevin McVey (born October 1, 1975) is an American music video and commercials director. He currently works for Ruffian Films in Los Angeles for music videos and Engine Virtual Film company in San Francisco for commercials.[1]

Life and career

McVey was born in Beckley, WV. He graduated from West Virginia University with a B.A. in English Literature and from Ohio University with an M.F.A. in Film Production. He has directed music videos for such musical acts as Sublime, Motionless In White, A Skylit Drive, Between The Buried And Me, The Word Alive, Lila McCann and Megadeth, among others.

He has also created videos for other notable acts such as Aiden, Joseph Arthur, Cartel and Eef Barzelay, among others.

In 2008, his video for heavy metal band Lizzy Borden for the song Tomorrow Never Comes was nominated by MTV for Best Metal Video of the Year.[2]
