Kentucky Route 96 is a 15.009-mile (24.155 km) state highway in Logan County, Kentucky that runs from KY 102 in rural Logan County southwest of Russellville to US 431 in southern Russellville.

Route description

KY 96 originates at a junction with KY 102 in southern Logan County not far from the Tennessee border. From there it travels northeast passing through open fields with occasional houses. 2.825 miles (4.546 km) from its origin KY 96 crosses over Whippoorwill Creek and continues northeast through open fields. KY 96 forms a junction with KY 591 3.120 miles (5.021 km) northeast of Whippoorwill Creek and turns to the north and continues north through rural areas of Logan County. Just south of its northern terminus, KY 96 passes by a golf course and a few subdivisions before terminating at a junction with US 431 in southern Russellville.[2]

History

The current route was in place and signed as KY 96 by 1937.[3]
