Kelly Oxford

Kelly Oxford (born November 29, 1977)[1] is a Canadian author, screenwriter, social media blogger and microblogger, and stay-at-home mom. Oxford initially gained recognition through her Twitter feed, which currently has over 600,000 followers, on which she shares her humorous observations on life, pop culture, and parenting. She was named one of Time magazine's top 140 Twitter feeds of 2011[2] and 2012.[3]

In 1996, Kelly dropped out of her first year of University classes to focus on travel, creative writing and screenwriting. It was in 1996 that she started "blogging" as a means of daily productivity and self-publishing. She completed several independent University fiction writing and screenwriting night courses while working odd jobs during the day, which included local independent video stores and coffee shops. In 2001, she became a full time stay-at-home mother and began focusing on her online writing, and script writing.

In 2013, Oxford published a semi-autobiographical book, Everything Is Perfect When You're a Liar,[4] which became a New York Times bestseller. She has also sold multiple screenplays to Warner Bros. NBC, CBS, FOX, WBTV and others.[5]
