Keith Robertson Cochrane (born 11 February 1965) is a Scottish businessman, currently Chief Executive of Weir Group plc, a British engineering company headquartered in Glasgow, Scotland.

Background

Born in Edinburgh, Cochrane was educated in Dunblane, Perthshire, and studied accountancy at Glasgow University. He qualified as a chartered accountant with Arthur Andersen.[1]

Cochrane was Group Finance Director of Stagecoach Group plc from 1996, becoming Group Chief Executive in 2000. Then from 2003 becoming Group Director of Finance of ScottishPower plc, having joined the power utility in 2003 as Director of Group Financial Reporting.[2]

Then on 2 November 2009 Cochrane became Group Chief Executive of Weir Group plc, having joined Weir as Group Finance Director in July 2006. Cochrane became Honorary Treasurer of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra in September 2008.[3]

Personal life

Cochrane lives in Perthshire with his wife and two children. His interests include golf, gardening and watching Scotland play rugby.[4]
