Kathryn V. Marinello is the CEO, a Director of the Company and Chairman of the Board for Stream Global Services, a global outsourcing solution provider, providing BPO services for Fortune 1000 clients, with 32 service centers in 18 countries. Marinello stepped down from her role of President and CEO of Ceridian Corporation on Monday, 25 January 2010.
Life and career
Early life
Marinello holds a B.A. from the University at Albany and an M.B.A. from Hofstra University, New York. As an undergraduate, Marinello also participated in an exchange program at the University of Lund, Sweden.
Career in the financial industry
Marinello served as President of U.S. Bank Card Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of U.S. Bank. Marinello has also worked at Chemical Bank, leading their marketing, information service, and financial department, at Citibank and Barclays as controller, and was President of the Electronic Payments Group at First Data Corporation, providing electronic banking and commerce, debit and commercial processing to the financial services industry.
Marinello joined GE in 1997 as President of GE Capital Consumer Financial Services and Executive Vice President of GE Card Services in Cincinnati, Ohio. Marinello was also President and CEO of a number of other GE businesses, including Insurance Solutions (1999–2002), Fleet Services (2000–2006),[1] and GE Financial Assurance Partnership Marketing Group, a diverse organization that includes GE's affinity marketing business, Auto & Home Insurance business, and Auto Warranty Service business. Her role as President and CEO of GE Fleet Services included overseeing over 3,000 employees in 20 countries around the world, a division that by itself is among the top 20 Minnesota companies by revenue.
Ceridian Corporation
Marinello was named President and CEO of Ceridian on 9 October 2006 succeeding Ronald L. Turner on 20 October 2006. Ceridian's Chairman, L. White Matthews, III said that "Her background in technology-based and enterprise-focused solutions businesses will be an outstanding asset to the organization."[2][3]
In June 2007 Marinello was appointed a director of General Motors Corp.
Marinello is a member of the Business Roundtable and serves on the boards of directors of the Greater Twin Cities United Way and the Minnesota Business Partnership, a non-profit, non-partisan public policy organization made up of more than 100 chief executive officers of Minnesota's leading employers.
Marinello was named in Fortune annual ranking of America's leading businesswomen.[4] Marinello was no longer the CEO of Ceridian as of 25 January 2010.
Stream Global Services
Marinello was named CEO of Stream on 20 August 2010 by the Board of Directors, succeeding founder R. Scott Murray, who intended to pursue other business interests.
Personal life
Marinello lives with her husband and her three sons in Apple Valley, Minnesota.
