Albanian First Division
The Albanian First Division (Albanian: Kategoria e Parë) is the second level of association football in Albania.[1][2]
The league was first created with the name Kategoria e Dytë (Second Division) and had also been named Kategoria A2. Since 2004–05 it was named First Division which holds currently. In the 2013–14 season, list of participants was expanded to 16 teams. Teams ranked 1st and 2nd are promoted to Albanian Superliga and teams ranked 15th and 16th are relegated to Albanian Second Division.
