Karl Harrington Potter, is a US born writer, academic, Indologist[1] from the University of Washington[2] and studied at the University of California,[3] and is known for his writings on Indian Philosophy.

Potter has served as a Professor, of the department of Philosophy and South Asian Studies at the University of Washington.[4] He has been called as an eminent scholar by his peers.[5]

He is credited with a number of books on the topic.[6][7][8][9] The Government of India honored Potter in 2011 with the fourth highest civilian award of Padma Shri.[10][11]
