Kapoor & Sons is an upcoming Bollywood romantic comedy directed by Shakun Batra and produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. The film stars Siddharth Malhotra, Fawad Khan and Alia Bhatt in leading roles.[1] [2] The film is scheduled for release on March 18, 2016.[3]

Plot

Rahul and Arjun Kapoor, two estranged brothers are forced to return to their childhood home when their 90-year-old Grandpa wants to see them then gets a heart attack. While living under one roof, family secrets unravel and misunderstandings are on the verge of turning into tragedy. Rahul and Arjun both fall in love with the same girl. Which is where the problem starts.

Production

In earlier 2015, Karan Johar announced his next film which will be titled "Kapoor & Sons" which will feature Alia Bhatt as the lead actress, with Sidharth Malhotra and Fawad Khan. Johar said in an interview "We have a very stylish star cast".The movie revolves around two brothers played by Sidharth Malhotra and Fawad Khan. Rishi Kapoor will be playing grandfather of the male leads.[4][5] The first poster of the film was unveiled on 3 February 2016 after releasing the look of Rishi Kapoor from the movie.[6]

Music

The music for the film is composed by Amaal Mallik, Badshah, Fazilpuria, Arko Pravo Mukherjee, Nucleya, Benny Dayal and Tanishk Bagchi. The background score is given by Sameer Uddin. The lyrics are penned by Badshah, Kumaar, Manoj Muntashir, Dr. Devendra Kafir and Abhiruchi Chand. Sony Music India have acquired the music rights of the film.
