Kanwal Sibal

Kanwal Sibal is a former foreign secretary of India. He was born on 18 November 1943, and graduated with an MA in English from Punjab University. He was appointed to the Indian Foreign Service in July 1966.

He served as India's ambassador to Turkey, Egypt, France and Russia.[1] He was foreign secretary from July 2002 to November 2003.

Indian National Congress politician and former minister in the erstwhile United Progressive Alliance govt Kapil Sibal is his brother.
