Kankipadu is a census town in Krishna district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is also the mandal headquarters of Kankipadu mandal of Vijayawada revenue division.[2][1] The town is located on the banks of the Paleru River which is a tributary of the Krishna River.

Kankipadu is located at 16°27′00″N 80°47′00″E / 16.4500°N 80.7833°E / 16.4500; 80.7833.[3] It has an average elevation of 6 metres (22 feet).
