Kang Pacific Airlines was a low-cost carrier operating out of Fujairah International Airport in the United Arab Emirates. The airline made its last and only flight on 6 June 2008.[1]

History

Kang Pacific Airlines was established in 2006 and launched in 2008 with a goal to operate as Fujairah's first low cost airline. Kang Pacific Airlines (KPA) was initially planned to shuttle passengers between Fujairah and three key countries: the UK, India, and the Philippines.[1]

In 2008, Kang Pacific launched its maiden flight to the Philippines, operating initially with two leased DC-10s.[2] Kang Pacific Airline flights started and stopped in June 2008 It's only flight was on 6 June 2008, from Fujairah to Manila and back. The airline sent notices to passengers that the flights had been cancelled, and that they should contact the KPA office for refunds. Though according to some passengers, the calls went unanswered, and no refunds were given. Mr Kang's mobile phone has been off since August 2008, and his whereabouts is apparently unknown.[1]

Destinations

The inaugural flight of Kang Pacific Airlines was from Fujairah to Manila, via the Bangladeshi capital, Dhaka. Other routes originally planned to follow will include East Midlands Airport (the UK) via Fujairah to Amritsar in India Punjab.

As of 2008, the following destinations were planned to be served by Kang Pacific:
