Kamiiso Station (上磯駅 Kamiiso-eki) is a railway station on the Esashi Line in Hokuto, Hokkaido, Japan, operated by Hokkaido Railway Company (JR Hokkaido).

Kamiiso Station is served by the 37.8 km Esashi Line between Goryōkaku and Kikonai.

History

Kamiiso Station opened on 15 September 1913.[1] With the privatization of JNR on 1 April 1987, the station came under the control of JR Hokkaido.[1]

Future developments

Operations on the Esashi Line are scheduled to be transferred from JR Hokkaido to a new operating company when the Hokkaido Shinkansen opens around 2016.[2]
