Kamatagi is a village in the southern state of Karnataka, India.[1][2] It is located in the Hungund taluk of Bagalkot district in Karnataka.
Demographics
As of 2001 India census, Kamatagi had a population of 14,380 with 7,261 males and 7,119 females.[1]
The town is also famous for Handlooms for Ilkal saaries . Another very famous Matha (temple) in town sri Hucheshwar Math which has mythological history. Especially in month of feb temple festivals called Jathra time cultural events and entertainment programs will be organized and its been much appreciated Best place to visit: sri Girimath a temple on hill, bank of malaprbaha river.
Sri hucheshwar drama company (Hucheshawar natya sangha) is one of the famous drama company in Karnataka and the owner of this company own karanataka rajyothsav award.
