Kadapa railway station is the primary railway station serving Kadapa, YSR Kadapa district, Andhra Pradesh, India. The station comes under the jurisdiction of Guntakal division of South Central Railways.[1] The station has three platforms. The station is situated in Guntakal-Chennai Egmore section of Mumbai-Chennai line. The station was previously known as Cuddapah.

Project

A new railway line from Kadapa to Bengaluru is under Construction which will make kadapa as a Junction in the Coming years. This line passes through Pabbapuram , Ganganapalle , Pendlimarri ,Idupulapaya ,Lakkireddy palle , Rayachoti , Vayalapadu , Madanapalle Road , Srinivasapur , Kolar , Bangarpet , Bengaluru. Existing Lines : Kadapa-Pendlimarri : 22 km's Vayalapadu-Madanapalle Road : 8 km's Srinivasapur-Kolar : 26.6 km's Kolar-Bangarpet : 17.3 km's Bangarpet-Bengaluru : 70 km's

The Station

Kadapa railway station has 3 platform's which can accommodate a train with more than 24 Coaches . All the 3 platform's are connected with a foot over bridge . Nearly 22 pair's of train have halt more than 5 Minutes . Daily train facilitie is available to Hyderabad , Chennai , Mumbai , Kanyakumari , Tirupati , Guntakal , Arakkonam , Hubbli , Kolhapur , Chittor and Tri weekly to Hazarat Nizamuddin , By weekly to Ahmedabad , Mangalore , Nagercoil , And weekly to Rameswaram , Okha , Madurai , Aurangabad , Karaikal etc..

The station lines are electrified recently (part of GUntakal Renigunta project)
