Kabongo Tshimanga is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for National League North side Nuneaton Town on loan from Football League Championship side Milton Keynes Dons.

Playing career

Milton Keynes Dons

Tshimanga first joined Milton Keynes Dons at U10 level.[4] After scoring 27 youth team goals, Tshimanga was rewarded with a squad number early in the 2014–15 season despite only recently turning 18.[5] He made his first team debut on 8 November, coming on as a late substitute for Benik Afobe in a 4–3 FA Cup First round victory over Port Vale at Vale Park.[6] Tshimanga signed his first professional contract with the club on 3 January 2015.[7] On 30 January 2015, Tshimanga joined Aldershot Town of the Conference on loan having scored 42 goals in 25 games for MK Dons U18s.[8]

Chelmsford City (loan)

On 27 February 2015, Tshimanga joined Conference South side Chelmsford City on a one-month loan deal.[9]

Corby Town (loan)

On 12 August 2015, Tshimanga joined National League North side Corby Town, initially on a one-month loan.[10] Tshimanga scored on his debut for the club the same day in the 3-1 win over Gloucester City. Tshimanga scored an eight-minute hat-trick for the club on 18 August 2015 in the 3-3 draw away to Hednesford Town.[11]

Nuneaton Town (loan)

On 20 November 2015, it was announced that Tshimanga had joined National League North side Nuneaton Town on a youth loan deal, initially until January 2016.[12] Tshimanga scored on his debut for the club coming on as a substitute with an 81st minute winner in a 1-2 win away to North Ferriby United.

Style of play

Speaking in November 2014, Milton Keynes Dons manager Karl Robinson stated that he was "quick, powerful, he wants to run at people and he's a constant threat."[13]
