KWOK (1490 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a sports format to the Aberdeen, Washington, USA area. The station is owned by Alpha Media LLC and features programming from Fox Sports Radio and Westwood One.[1]

History

The station went on the air as KJET. On April 13, 1999, the station changed its call sign to KGHO, and on February 18, 2000 to KWOK.[2]

In November 2012, KWOK filed an application with the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to move to a different transmitter site, reduce night power to 760 watts and change the city of license to from Hoquiam, Washington to Aberdeen. The FCC issued the approval for the move on July 7, 2014.
