History
KLEW-TV signed on the air December 7, 1955. KLEW was originally owned by Noel Broadcasting. The station's original studio facilities were located on Idaho Street in Lewiston. In 1977, the station moved its original studios on Idaho Street to their current location on 17th Street. Noel Broadcasting sold the station to Retlaw Broadcasting in 1986. Fisher Communications purchased KLEW-TV along with the other Retlaw owned stations in 1999. On April 11, 2013, Fisher announced that it would sell its properties, including KLEW-TV, to the Sinclair Broadcast Group.[1] The deal was completed on August 8, 2013.[2]
