Košarkaški klub Bor RTB (Serbian: Кошаркашки клуб Бор РТБ, English: Basketball Club Bor RTB) is a Serbian professional basketball club. It is part of the Bor multi-sports clubs.
History
KK Bor RTB is the most successful basketball club in Eastern Serbia, during its more than five-decade-long history.
KK Bor RTB is the biggest club in Eastern Serbia. KK Bor RTB was few times part of unique Yugoslav 2nd National League.
The biggest success in the club's history is reaching placement to 2nd Yugoslavia League on 9 October 1977, after achieving a victory against Partizan Jagodina 98–97. KK Bor RTB was so close to losing this qualification game. Partizan Jagodina has result 97–96 and ball only few seconds before end of the game. But then Vladica Stojanović taken ball from opponents and gave ball to Ilija Paripović who scored most famous points in Bor basketball history for final victory 98–97.
Bor town had one of the most popular and biggest basketball camps in Serbia. Camp was nearest to town, close to Borsko jezero lake. Many great players is exactly in this place learned first basketball lessons. Like Vlade Divac, Aleksandar Đorđević, Predrag Danilović and many others. Camp lecturers were some of the biggest coaches names like Dušan Vujošević, Jim Simpson, Dick Pauel, Dušan Ivković, Bora Cenić, Ranko Žeravica and many others.
Arena
"Sports center Bor" is today a modern, fully equipped facility that can successfully meet the highest standards for basketball matches and competition.
Big hall in "Sports center Bor" can receive 3000 (4500 with additional stands) spectators.
