History
KBUP is one of the oldest radio stations in the state of Washington. It was licensed in 1922 and began broadcasting at St. Martin's College, for a while out of a log cabin.[1]
On October 14, 2014, KGY was sold by KGY Inc. to Sacred Heart Radio, Inc. and changed their format to Catholic religious, simulcasting KBLE 1050 AM Seattle. On November 6, KGY changed their call letters to KBUP.
