K25NK-D is a low-power television station in Rochester, Minnesota, broadcasting locally in digital on UHF channel 25 as an affiliate of 3ABN. Founded October 28, 1993, the station is owned by Three Angels Broadcasting Network, Inc.
History
On October 28, 1993, the FCC granted a construction permit to Grand Forks Seventh Day Adventist Church to build low-power station K35ED on UHF channel 35 to serve Grand Forks, North Dakota. The church transferred the construction permit in June 1994 to Three Angels Broadcasting Network, who, in April 1995, applied for permission to move the station to Rochester, Minnesota to broadcast on UHF channel 21. The FCC granted the request in September 1995, and licensed the station with callsign K21FA in April 1996. The station found itself in a displacement situation in 1997 when the FCC Sixth Report and Order assigned channel 21 as the digital companion channel for WFTC in Minneapolis , and in November 1999, the station applied to move to UHF channel 58. In 2002, the station completed the move, and was licensed on channel 58 in November 2002.
On September 14, 2012, the station transitioned to digital broadcasting on channel 25, and changed their call sign to K25NK-D.
