Juniper is an unincorporated community in Modoc County, California.[1] It is located on the Southern Pacific Railroad 2 miles (3.2 km) west-southwest of Alturas,[2] at an elevation of 4354 feet (1327 m).[1]

Climate

This region experiences warm (but not hot) and dry summers, with no average monthly temperatures above 71.6 °F. According to the Köppen Climate Classification system, Juniper has a warm-summer Mediterranean climate, abbreviated "Csb" on climate maps.[3]
